About Us

Minnetonka has a long history for rugby. In fact, the first rugby team in Minnesota was the Minnetonka RFC formed in 1960 by Dartmouth College graduates. After a few years they eventually became the Minneapolis RFC, which is now the Metropolis RFC.

Rugby returned to Minnetonka in 1999 with the formation of the current boy's and girl's clubs designed to provide instruction and recreational rugby for high school aged enthusiasts. The team prides itself on excellent skill development, great sportsmanship and a focus on having fun.
